Schur®Star Systems operating out of Flensburg (Germany), Carlsbad (CA, USA), and Thomastown (Victoria, Australia)  – a member of the Danish family owned Schur® Group established 1846 – are today utilizing the knowhow within the entire Schur® Group to supply its customers worldwide the highest standards of flexible packaging material.

The Schur®Star Systems companies produce pre-made bags for the patented Schur®Star Packaging Machine concept. The Schur®Star Bags are made of polyethylene, polypropylene and laminates with medium or high barrier and are printed in flexo – up to 10 colours. The bags are available in many shapes with all kinds of features, like bottom gusset and header bags with Euro slot. They also make segment bags, peelable bags, stand-up bags, piping bags, recloseable bags and customized bags.

The Schur®Star Concept principally was invented 1985 and has ever since benefitted from a continued innovation and R&D process driven by their quest to support their worldwide customers to be the best in their field.

 

Sales department

Schur Star Systems is represented in Europe by 16 sales managers, which work mostly from homeoffice in their own country. They are on the one hand supported by a team of inside sales people, based in the factory in Flensburg (Germany).. On the other hand a team of technical specialists, based in the factory in Horsen (DK), are ready to support the sales force in complex technical questions requested by clients.

 

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Seeking opportunities for business development within a defined area or sector
  • Identify and develop new client opportunities and expand existing client portfolio
  • Reporting within the organisation all necessary details in order to do calculation
  • Providing input for further product development
  • Providing relevant market information
  • Direct report to Sales Director of Schur Star Systems

 

Knowledge & Experience

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in economic education or equivalent work experience
  • Sales experience in B2B environment, ideally gained in the packaging industry
  • Relevant knowledge of the Benelux business market for flexible packaging (pre-made bags)
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Experience in working from a home office
  • Willing to travel frequently within the Benelux region
  • Fluent command of English and Dutch is necessary
